Overview
Pixi was the product of a research and development team exploring the impact that mobile can have to the interactive market. Pixi is one of the three concepts we chose to invest in and build out to explore the power of native iphone apps when the market place first open.
Solution
Pixi is an art creation device that is super simple to use and is often referred to as mesmerizing to watch. We created an application that works on one to three finger inputs that are the tool sets for all kinds of settings and options to inform your art work. People demanded a place to share their artwork with others who are interested in the app. So we created a flickr account that automatically publishes peoples work, as well as a way to share each others designs across phones where people can add to them.
Results
Pixi really informed everyone involved how the entire app construction process is. From building the application and dealing with hardware limits to the applications submission process and dealing with bugs that the team at apple found. Meanwhile Pixi has generated a user base of people who are in love with the art making process and share amongst the community.
